Did You Know A Kid Named Terra?
A year ago, NASA conducted a "name the satellite" contest for kids of all ages.

The goal of the contest was to come up with a name for the EOS-AM1 satellite (the flagship of NASA's Earth Observing System satellite missions).

Terra, the winning entry, was submitted by Sasha Jones of
St. Louis, MO.
